Born high in the mountains of North Carolina the New River steers north into Virginia, creating the magnificent New River Valley. The waters of this river, second oldest in the world, give anglers and paddlers world-class excitement.

The group promotes

angling for smallmouth bass, publishes a monthly newsletter, presents monthly programs with guest speakers, and organizes frequent river trips for its members. While concentrating its efforts on the improvement of smallmouth bass fishing in the region's rivers, PRSC supports the preservation of fish habitat and the wise management of all river gamefish species.

Bass Fishing 4 Kids is a non-profit internet fishing club for kids. Enter your catch in the Big Bass Competition. THE BIG BASS COMPETITION is a monthly activity which allows members to compete for monthly prizes for their big bass catch. Monthly winners receive a gift certificate to Bass Proshops and are entered into the end of the season weigh-in.
